Thinking generates endless possibilities. Even if you don't realize it--you think of ideas 24/7. It could be inspired by what you ate for lunch, or it could be something your lecturer said in class. Some ideas may not seem so great, but when you have tons of ideas, some of them are sure to be successful.
There is divergent thinking, where you think of solutions to carry out your ideas, and there is convergent thinking, where you make a choice, where you decide on a solution to carry out your ideas.
